Johnathan Lee Iverson was born in New York, NY on January 30, 1976. Iverson attended and graduated from Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music and Art & Performing Arts and The Hartt School of Music of the University of Hartford
Johnathan began his show business career at an early age when he joined the Boys Choir of Harlem. With the group, he traveled through the United States as well as abroad, entertaining audiences, world leaders and dignitaries.
In 1999 at age 22, Iverson became ringmaster of the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus
Johnathan has the unique distensions of being America's first African-American ringmaster, Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey's the youngest ringmaster, as well as being Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey's last ringmaster.
While performing with RBBB, Johnathan met Priscilla, a Brazilian born dancer with the circus, the two dated, fell in love and were eventually married.
On May 21, 2017 Johnathan had the solemn duty of giving the farewell speech on the last performance of the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus which he did with dignity and style. |
