Ozzie Schleentz

Oct. 11, 1924 - Sept. 08, 1991

Many Thanks to Ozzie's Daughter Judy, Granddaughter Sharon and Grandson Charles for providing photos and information.

Osborn R. Schleentz was born in West Long Branch, New Jersey on Oct. 11 1924, to Charles and Anna Schleeentz. Ozzie served in the United States Army (1943-1945) during World War II.

Ozzie began his Circus career in the 1950s as a general agent for the Hunt Bros Circus.

Ozzie was an accomplished show painter. and when anyone visited the circus his talents were very apparent, the show was one of the brightest and most colorful circuses at that time. Dominating the colorful midway was a large cowboy which straddled the circus' ticket wagon.

More Information on Ozzie and Lila Schleentz may be found at our "Royal Ranch Wild West Circus" page.
