Lewis Bros 3 Ring Circus

In 1924 Paul Mason Lewis along with Ray Zimmerman owned the "Lewis Zimmerman Circus". In 1931 Lewis bought out Zimmerman and the circus was re-titled the "Lewis Bros Circus" which operated from 1931 until 1942.

In 1945 Lewis reopened the Lewis Brothers Circus this time with Ray Marsh Brydon as a partner. Brydon was a sideshow operator and had owned a circus in 1936 and 1937 using the "Dan Rice" title.

A tragic accident occurred in 1942 near Canton, Ohio, when a train hit one of the show trucks, killing an elephant handler and two Elephants (Lew and Tony).

In 1935 Grand Ole Opry comedian Whitey Ford, the Duke of Paducah was the star attraction and in 1936 it was cowboy star Jack Hoxie.
