L. E. Barnes Circus

 

Circus Trivia, Did You Know?   Did You Know, The name "Barnes" has been used more often in circus titles than any other name (Al G Barnes, Carson and Barnes, Beers and Barnes, Barnes and Dailey ETC.

 

The L. E. Barnes circus was owned by Dave and Lois Hoover. The named "L. E. Barnes was derived from Lois' name (Lois Eugenia Barnes-Hoover), whose family have been in the circus business since the late 1800s and were owners of the Beers and Barnes Circus.

The L. E. Barnes Circus hit the road in the spring of 2001, the season was cut short however after the 9/11 terrorist attack.
