At an early age Mike Cecere turned his love of animals into a circus career. Following "Prince Bogino, (Manuel Ruffin) Mike, at age 17 began working the Hoxie Bros. Circus lion and tiger act. Mike also performed on the Ford Bros. Circus.
After years of touring with circuses, Mike went to work for Larry Tetzlaff at "Jungle Larry's" at Naples Florida and then at Tetzlaff's animal park in Cedar Point, Ohio. At the parks, Mike presented his animal act daily and greeted and entertained guest.
In Mike's later years, he was a frequent contributor to the circus industry's magazine the "Circus Report", sharing his experiences and stories of life on circus.
