Circus Ringmaster Christopher Connors' interest in the circus began early. His parents were circus fans and took young Connors to every circus that came by.
While visiting the Clyde Beatty Cole Bros. Circus with his family, ringmaster Roger Boyd a friend of Chris' father, sat the youth on his knee and told stories of the circus. Chris stated "When he sat me on his knee to talk about the circus, that's when it for me", from that moment on, Connors knew the circus would become his life.
Chris Connors eventually became ringmaster of the Clyde Beatty Cole Bros Circus after the retirement of legendary circus ringmaster Jimmy James.
Connors continued with the show as it evolved into the Cole Bros. Circus of the Stars.
Connors' booming voice has filled the circus big top for many years now and he has become an iconic image of the modern day circus. |
