Born George Anthony Hulme, in Boston, Mass. "Bumpsy was one of the most recognizable and beloved clowns in the circus business. With his long neck, (exaggerated by his make-up) and oversized wardrobe he could make people laugh by his appearance alone.
Bumpsy began his career in vaudeville with a break - away bicycle act and then moved to circuses as a clown.
1994 Inducted into the International Clown Hall of Fame. |
